So now what am I supposed to do?
I walk into the garage Sunday, it had been closed for a day or two.
Whilst pilfering through the mess, something catches the corner of my
eye... standing on the floor of the garage, looking at me with the same
bewildered look I had, is the fine feathered friend you see pictured
above. I opened the garage door, and away he walked. (Yes,
walked.) He went wandering through the neighborhood, and I thought
he was gone. I even went out into the garage to see if he had
returned, and as best I could tell, he hadn't.
Apparently, he is a homing pigeon... and not a very good
one. This story,
on WRAL.com, came out Monday and made me think he had located a good
home... little did I know....
Fast forward to Wednesday (today). I'm telling the kids the
cool bird story, as we're walking down the sidewalk in front of the
house. I just happen to look through the garage window... and there
he sits... looking back. We shooed him out, and he flew off.
Now, being the animal lover I am, I didn't close the garage door... after
all... I don't know if he has a home. Sure enough... just as the sun
started to set... there he was... perched atop the car speaker case (that
for 10 years now I've been planning on putting speakers in.)
Since I'm getting tired of him crapping all over my stuff, we're going to
have to do something... but I'll be damned if I know what my next move is.
