N.A.Q.
How do I turn off the Information Bar / Pop-up blocker on SP2?
Pop-up blocker is easy. Go to TOOLS--> POP-UP BLOCKER and
switch it to OFF.
Information Bar is a different beast. Everything I've found on
Microsoft's website on this topic has been wrong. Jump through the
hoops, and ActiveX content STILL gets snagged by the browser. If you
have an older web-based app, this can be a nightmare. (In my world,
it interferes heavily with benchmarking software. Primarily
Sysmark2004 and BatteryMark 2004.) To fix the issue, cut and paste
the following into a textfile. Rename it IEFix.reg and run it.
Change all occurrences of hkcu to hklm if you want the change to
affect all users.
